Community Event – “A Focus on Understanding & Hope” 9/24/16 9 am – 1 pm in Chandler

The Chandler Police Department in Partnership with the Valley Hope Center and the Chandler / Gilbert Substance Misuse & Treatment Task Force will be hosting a community event to focus on understanding mental illness & substance abuse.  The event will be held at the Chandler Center for the Arts on Saturday 09/24/16 from 9:00 am til 1:00 pm.  The event will include dynamic speakers, 11 different presentations, and over 50 resource agencies from the valley.

The Valley Hope Center will be hosting a rally & march / walk prior to the event at the Center for the Arts ( Saturday 09/24/16 – 7:00 am @ Valley Hope Center in Chandler)  to bring awareness around recovery and inspire Champions of Hope within our community that are willing to stand up against the stigma of addiction and stand beside those in recovery to offer support and compassion.  This event is for all members in the community!.  There are presentations that have been AZ POST certified to receive continuing officer training hours for Law Enforcement also.
